CONTROVERSIAL plans to double the size of Salisbury with housing and business developments have been thrown up in the air.
Wiltshire Council has announced a review of the targets for new building to be set in the South Wiltshire Core Strategy.
It is thought that the target figure of 12,400 more homes by 2026 could be cut by ten per cent.
Although nothing has been decided, proposed housing estates at Netherhampton Road in Harnham and Longhedge at Old Sarum, along with a business park at Netherhampton Road, seem the likeliest projects for pruning since they aroused the strongest opposition.
