THREE people have been charged after a double-decker bus was stolen from Amesbury and taken on a joyride, before crashing in a housing estate.
The incident happened in the early hours of June 18, with footage believed to have been filmed by the culprits themselves appearing on video sharing website YouTube days later.
The four-minute mobile phone video showed the bus being driven around the town before it was crashed into two parked cars in the Archers Gate estate, where it was abandoned.
A green Volkswagen Polo and a silver Honda Jazz were damaged in the incident, which caused about £30,000 worth of damage to the Wilts & Dorset bus.
A 21-year-old man and two 16-year-old girls have been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.
The man and one of girls have also been charged with driving without a licence or insurance.
All three are due to appear before magistrates in Salisbury on October 13.
