A FACEBOOK group has been set up to campaign against parking charges.
The newly-formed group, Salisbury Businesses Against Salisbury Parking Charges, went live on Thursday.
It is a spin-off from the city networking group Business Through Referrals and was set up by member James Donson, of Eco Print in Fisherton Street.
It urges people to contact their Wiltshire councillors to protest against the price rises. Mr Donson said: “Our group members are struggling and although there is not so much of a direct impact on my firm because we can still deliver and post items to clients, there is a knock-on effect.
“Once other businesses start to struggle with money they will spend less with us. We gave a quotation to one small independent retailer but they decided they couldn’t afford to invest in marketing material.”
