CHILDREN at Hillside First School in Verwood said a hearty bonjour to a whole day of French-themed activities.
Some 20 pupils from Emmanuel Middle School visited Hillside to open a Gallic cafe to get Year 4 pupils in the mood for some French fun.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the theme of the day, with children ordering food from the Dwarf Sandwich Bar in French.
Other tasks included designing a dwarf and labelling his body parts in French, learning the Gallic equivalent of the names of the characters from the fairytale and painting in Monet style.
Teacher Ayesha Wyatt said: “It was a great opportunity to bring the French language to life and help with the transition of Year 4 pupils to Emmanuel Middle School in September.
“It was a great day and lots of fun.”
