LOUISE Kenchington and her fiancé Jason Whettleton have been dreaming of their perfect wedding for more than six years.

The couple, who live in Salisbury, got together eight years ago after being introduced by mutual friends and Jason, 35, proposed to Louise, 27, two years later.

“He came to see me when I was working away and he proposed on the seafront at Weston-super-Mare. It was really romantic,”

said Louise.

But since then the couple’s wedding plans have come to a standstill.

Louise, who was the manager at Clarks shoe shop in Salisbury, gave up work to become a fulltime carer for her mother.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way. I want to care for my mum no matter what,” she said. Her mother has a rare form of Alzheimer’s disease which affects her eyesight.

Jason, who works as an HGV driver, has been working hard to provide for their children Alisha, 13, Tiffany, five, and 18- month-old Lewis.

Louise would like to be given away on their big day by her step-dad, whose deteriorating health means she’d like to get married as soon as they can.

“I want my family to see me get married and we feel as though time is running out.

We’ve been together for eight years and our relationship has been tested and put through all sorts. We love each other like you wouldn’t believe.”
