DREW Baker and Kim Morgan work so hard to provide for their family that they barely get to see each other but they would love to get married.

Drew, 32, works from 7am to 5pm building trucks while Kim, 27, looks after their 16-month-old daughter Lexie. In the evenings Drew takes Kim to her part-time job at Sainsbury’s and he looks after Lexie, not seeing Kim again until after 10pm.

Drew said: “Now Kim’s working evenings we don’t see a lot of each other. It’s hard but we’ve got a mortgage and bills to pay and another baby on the way.”

Kim has just had her 20-week scan and the couple are looking forward to the new addition to their family, but it makes saving for a wedding even more difficult.

They met about three years ago through friends and Drew proposed to Kim on Valentine’s Day this year with a Haribo sweet ring. “It was a long-running joke between us. I’d already bought her a ring the year before for her birthday and that’s become her engagement ring.”

The couple were nominated for the Journal’s competition by Drew’s mother Rebecca who said: “Drew really wants to get married.

He has a brother and sister who are both married but he’s the oldest.

“They both work very hard but it’s desperately hard for them to live, without trying to save for a wedding as well. They do put a little by but it’s a struggle.”

Drew said: “We all would really like Kim to become part of the Baker family.”

Kim’s sister Nicki has also entered the Journal’s competition.
