WHEN Stacey Voce read about the Journal’s Win Your Wedding competition she immediately thought that her mum Tina and her fiancé Terry Miles would be worthy winners.
“They are both lovely people who do things for other people without even thinking about it.” Stacey told us.
“They always put others first.”
The couple met four years ago through a friend and although they talked about marriage, they had never made any wedding plans.
That changed on New Year’s Eve, when the couple were on holiday in Australia visiting Tina’s sister, Teresa.
“We were in Adelaide and he took me over to a jewellery shop and said he wanted to buy me a ring,” said Tina.
“It made it a very special new year.”
Tina, 54, who lives in Downton, is a care worker at a home near Fordingbridge and Terry, 46, works as sales manager at a kitchen company in New Milton. They often help out friends in need and Stacey described them as “kind, generous and caring”.
“I like to do things to help other people,” said Tina.
The couple say they are looking forward to their big day and are delighted to be nominated in the Win Your Wedding competition.
