WITH a baby on the way, a wedding to plan and an imminent house move, there are exciting times ahead for Katrina Isaac and Joseph Sheldrake.

The couple, from Great Wishford, met two years ago and Joseph proposed last year in a very unusual location.

“We were in the Chantry Centre in Andover when he suddenly started being all soppy and romantic,” said Katrina, 21.

“Before I knew it, he was down on one knee.

“I was really embarrassed and told him to get up, but by then a crowd of people had gathered and were watching us.

“He had the ring and when I said ‘yes’ everyone started clapping and cheering.”

The couple started planning their dream wedding but, six months later, they discovered Katrina was expecting their first child, due in November.

“We are really excited but, obviously, babies are very expensive and we thought we should put the wedding plans on hold while we saved up,” said Katrina, who works as a rehabilitation assistant at Glenside in South Newton.

“This competition could be perfect timing for us.”

Joseph, who works as an apprentice electrician, said winning the competition would make “all my dreams a reality”, and “cement me as the happiest man on Earth.”
