FRIENDSHIP simply blossomed into romance for Sam Gooch and her fiancé, Paul Brown.

After both being single for about five years and declaring marriage was off the agenda, they met, fell in love and started a new chapter of their lives.

Paul, who works for Mercedes, impressed Sam by borrowing a top-range model from work and driving her to Bournemouth, where he proposed on the beach.

“It was a perfect moment, I had to say Sam Gooch and Paul Brown.

yes,” she said.

Since then, the couple have been planning their big day.

They have four children between them who are eagerly anticipating the wedding.

Both Sam and Paul have lost their dads, so 18-year-old Jack will give his mum away, while Liam, eight, will be his dad’s best man.

Their daughters, Chantelle and Lauren, will be bridesmaids.

“All the children are really excited and we’re looking forward to being one big family,” said Sam, who lives in Amesbury and works at Waitrose in Salisbury.

The couple are writing their own vows, and friends and family say their wedding will be an emotional but happy day.

“They are always laughing and joking together and you can tell by the way they look at each other they are so in love,” said Paul’s mum, Vera Brown, who nominated them.

“They are the happiest and most in love couple you could ever hope to meet.”
