KIRSTY Brown and Tom Bartlett met when they were just 17 years old and, ten years later, are hoping to celebrate their relationship with a dream wedding.

They first set eyes on each other when Kirsty, from Redlynch, was a pupil at St Edmund’s School in Salisbury and Tom, from Downton, was at Trafalgar School.

They had friends in common and liked each other but didn’t become a couple until several years later when they met again by chance.

They had gone their separate ways, Kirsty moving to London, and had been in other relationships but ran into each other in a nightclub several years after they’d last seen each other. Tom, who works for Salisbury Glass, was the DJ and Kirsty, who works for HPA at Porton, was on a night out with friends.

The pair, both now 27, got talking and soon became a couple, settling in Salisbury.

They have been talking about getting married for years but have had to keep putting it off because of saving to buy a house.

Kirsty said: “I have always dreamed of a big white wedding but the cost of living is making this impossible for us. Tom and I are soulmates and I would love nothing more than to be his wife as I have finally found Mr Right.”

Their day will be made even more special by having Tom’s four-year-old daughter Mia as bridesmaid.
