A MURAL celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Salisbury was officially opened on Friday.
Children from St Martin’s Primary School joined mayor John Collier and artist Fred Fieber at the mural under the Milford Street Bridge.
The mural is the second to be painted under the bridge and depicts the Queen’s visit to Salisbury during her Jubilee celebrations as well as well as images based on the royal connections of people and places in the city and the memories of people living in the area.
The Milford Street Bridge Project team spoke to people about what they remember of royal celebrations over the years and of encounters with members of the royal family.
And some of those who came forward to speak to the team have found themselves immortalised in the image itself.
