Salisbury cannot absorb 40,000 people through the Wiltshire Core Strategy. 14,000 new houses will profit the developers, the landowners and also the Wiltshire Council, but not the poor residents.

The relationship of the developers with the council is secret and residents do not have the money or the time to get to the bottom of all the connections. Wiltshire Council on the other hand uses taxpayers’ money to make sure their plains are bombproof.

Therefore, residents have not been able to defend themselves equally at the Wiltshire Core Strategy inquiry. If a county councillor opposes a developer’s proposals then the councillor is held personally responsible if the developer wins an appeal. This is not representation it is blackmail.

Political correctness prevents all other parties from stating that people entering the UK through an open European boarders are causing the shortage of houses for local people.

Community life is being changed by such a vast expansion of houses in a small medieval city and its rural surroundings. This is planning madness – so I am standing in this election to defend the local residents, the city and the countryside. I hope you will support me.
