A SUICIDAL woman has been talked down from the top of the Old George Mall car park this afternoon.
Officers attended the scene following reports of a “distressed female” on the top floor of the multi-storey car park in New Street.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “A trained police negotiator was also called and managed to engaged with the young female – who is now safe.”
While the rescue was ongoing officers closed New Street but the road was reopened shortly before 2.15pm.
