A DURRINGTON petrol station was evacuated on Friday after a fuel leak.
Firefighters from Amesbury and a support unit from Salisbury were called to Tesco, in Bulford Road, just after 7pm after fuel was smelt by staff in the stock room.
The crew worked through the night to find the source which was eventually found in an underground petrol tank at the Esso garage opposite.
Crews liaised with the Environment Agency and Wessex Water to determine if wider damage had been caused.
