ORGANISERS of the city’s International Pancake Race have confirmed that the event will still go ahead despite heavy rain.
St Thomas’s Church has said that the race will now take place under the Cloisters at Salisbury Cathedral from 10.45am.
Now in its sixth year the race, which marks Shrove Tuesday, is organised alongside the Trussell Trust to raise awareness of poverty, homelessness and social exclusion.
Shops and businesses in Salisbury will take part with a sprint around the historic Cloisters.
There will be prizes from Côte Brasserie with the winning prize received along with the Golden Frying Pan 2018.
