Salisbury City Football Club was rocked by the news that long-time club chairman Neville Beal would be stepping down at the end of the season.
The man who has been the backbone of the club since rescuing it from certain closure seven years ago said the time was right for him to go.
He will be leaving along with fellow directors Stuart McGlashan and Paul Orsborn.
He hopes his decision will pave the way for a new buyer or consortium to move into the club. However, there is no immediate replacement lined up.
In a press conference at the Ray McEnhill stadium this morning (Wednesday) the directors thanked staff members, volunteers and most importantly the fans for their loyal support over the years.
