SALISBURY CITY have blown any chances of embarking on a potential FA Trophy adventure after getting knocked out to high-flying Maidstone United in the first round.
Nick Humphrey raised the roof inside the Gallagher Stadium with the opener in the 35th minute.
And the stones were in paradise when they netted a second, seven minutes later, in extraordinary fashion.
A 30-yard rocket from Alex Flisher flew beyond the arms of Will Puddy and smashed into the top corner.
Despite newboy Ricky Wellard rattling the upright with a scorching effort and substitute Dan Fitchett causing a threat in attack, the Whites crushed to back-to-back defeats.
