SOUTH Wilts are through to the NatWest Under 16 Indoor Cricket Championship finals at the Ageas Bowl, writes Mike Vimpany.
The Bemerton youngsters assured themselves of a top four placement with back-to-back wins over Hambledon and the New Forest.
Ben Draper took his run tally past the 300 mark for the winter season, top scoring with 41 in the 49-run win over the New Forest, and leading the way again against Hambledon.
Ed Wordsworth shone on debut, taking 3-22 and |scoring 25 against Hambledon.
South Wilts finished their league programme 11 points adrift of Basingstoke & North Hants, who lost their final game to Bournemouth.
The Dorset side will finish top if they win their remaining matches.
