A DRAMATIC late equaliser from super substitute Dan Fitchett rescued a priceless point for Salisbury City on Tuesday night.
Dover Athletic's Tryone Sterling prodded home from a first half set piece which unsettled the hosts. And after creating copious chances, they were heading for their second home defeat of the season.
Until the 94th minute when Fitchett made great contact with Elliott Frear's cross and steered home a leveller which could prove invaluable at the end of the Conference South campaign.
City made a bright start and White will wonder how his eighth minute effort, from Stuart Sinclair's cross, ricocheted away from goal.
Another clever combination, this time involving Rob Sinclair and White, was lifted over the top by Chris McPhee who was at full stretch.
Dover had barely tested Will Puddy, until some hesitant defending from Lloyd Harrington's free kick resulted in a shock opener inside 22 minutes.
Salisbury took a while to recoup and a glorious chance to level was headed off the line, just minutes before the break. Rob Sinclair's dinked lob was heading into the top corner until Michael Kamara leaped into the air to clear the danger.
It was a similar, exasperating second half for the Whites, who continued to throw everything at Dover, but had nothing to show for it. Rob Sinclair's piledriver forced a low save from Mitch Walker and then Stuart Sinclair wastefully dragged a shot wide.
White's quick-fire volley brought Walker into action again. But as time ticked away, Salisbury looked like they would be leaving empty-handed as two controversial handball decisions were waved away and they couldn't find the net.
But nearing the last kick of the game, Frear surged down the left to whip over a teasing cross. The Dover defence were caught napping and Fitchett popped up to fire home a last-gasp goal to save his side in their penultimate home game of the season.
City head to second from bottom Billericay Town on Saturday (3pm).
