SALISBURY’S inaugural Futsal tournament was a success, raising around £500 for Melanoma UK.
The former Shrewton United and Chalke Valley manager Steve Chalk, who died of the disease this year, founded the organisation Something Silly In June, which has arranged several fundraising events, and he was involved with FC Salisbury United’s Futsal team.
The tournament at Chafyn Grove School was won by Bemerton Heath Harlequins, who beat Laverstock & Ford on penalties in the final after a 5-5 draw, picking up a trophy donated by Trophyman Sarum.
Bemerton's Shaun Prentice was player of the tournament and Joe Sanger scored the best goal.
