BEMERTON Heath Harlequins have been rewarded with a home tie to Wessex Division One outfit Cowes Sports in the First Round Proper of the FA Vase.
Strike partners Jack Slade and Scott Joyce bagged braces in Harlequins’ 4-3 blockbuster win over Moneyfields at Western Way to secure their place in the next round.
Their win, which earned them £800 in prize money, will see them host Cowes on Saturday, November 1 (3pm).
Verwood and Ringwood Town also progressed to the first round after recording wins over their Toolstation Western League opponents, and will face Fareham Town and United Services Portsmouth respectively.
Laverstock and Ford, thumped 8-0 at Winchester City, and Amesbury Town, defeated at Longwell Green Sports, were eliminated from the competition.
