FUTSAL specialists FC Salisbury United reached the next stage of the FA Cup.
The well-balanced side, comprising players from the Wessex League, beat two national league teams – Gloucester and Oxford Futsal Club – and lost one in the Birmingham-based competition.
They now remain the last Wiltshire outfit in the cup.
Manager Justin Prentice said: “Our last game was against Birmingham Futsal club, who are in the top five in the country. For much of that game the average age of the players on the pitch was 17 years old; a testament to the youth players for the way they performed.”
The club, which plays their home matches at Chafyn Grove School, are looking for a sponsor to provide a new kit. Anyone interested can email justin.prentice@capita.co.uk.
