NEWLY-APPOINTED Scott Young led Shrewton United to a 4-2 victory after taking care of his charges for the maiden time in a topsy-turvy clash with Vale of Pewsey.
A thunderous free kick from Pewsey put them ahead until Craig Lewis equalised from close range.
Dean Foot then saw his header rally off the crossbar, before Dom Jackson was quick to pounce on the rebound and make it 2-1 to Shrewton in the 17th minute.
New Shrewton signing Ryan Jones gave away a penalty which was duly dispatched by Pewsey, making the score 2-2 at half time.
Seven minutes into the second half, the Pewsey keeper failed to clear just outside of his box and Foot was able to lob the keeper for Shrewton’s third.
Lewis made sure of the points when he skipped past the Pewsey defence and slotted home from an acute angle late on.
