DOWNTON’s homegrown racing star Ollie Pidgley continued his impressive rate of improvement during the latest three rounds of the MSA Formula season at Oulton Park Island Circuit.
The 17-year-old chalked up three more points finishes for the Richardson Racing team after his races in Cheshire. Saturday saw him take 17th and 18th spots in both of the day’s races.
“Overall it’s been a good weekend," said Ollie.
“In FP1 we missed out on some decent track time which was a shame, every lap I get in the car is vital, but my performance in qualifying was the best so far and the races were good. I might not look anything special on the times, but in terms of my own performance with using the tyres and putting everything together it was a big improvement.”
North Yorkshire’s Croft Circuit will host rounds 13, 14 and 15 of the MSA Formula season on June 27 and 28.
