CAMERON Roach emerged from the dugout to notch up a double as Amesbury Town completed a valiant comeback at United Services Portsmouth.
Blues' fighting spirit showed at the Victory Ground where they clawed back a two goal deficit at half time after goals from old boy Callum Coker and Peter Lines put Pompey in the driving seat.
But back came Gareth Horner's men and, within four minutes of coming on, Roach acted as Blues' catalyst.
He latched onto Danny Finnigan's pass and circled keeper Peter Houkes before slotting into the net.
Amesbury heaped on the pressure and found an equaliser when a cross was drilled in the area and was turned home by Pompey defender Rich Warwick 20 minutes from time.
The visitors had the last say of the afternoon in the 87th minute when Luke Walker found Roach, who brought the ball under control, turned his defender and lobbed the advancing Houkes for a sublime winner.
The 3-2 win moves Amesbury up to second in Wessex Division One.
