ELLINGHAM & Ringwood put in an immense performance on Saturday to win their Hampshire Plate semi-final 30-16 away at Farnborough.
The New Forest outfit took an early lead when fly half Josh Butcher (pictured) kicked a penalty.
Farnborough came back strongly with a try and two penalties to give them an 11-3 lead, but the Ellingham wing three quarter, Jack Galton, scored a good individual try before the break to reduce the deficit to 11-8 at half time.
Ellingham were able to dominate the second half with further tries from scrum half Henry Benson and back row forwards Andrew Lorton and Stuart Pearce.
Josh Butcher added a further penalty and two conversions.
The final will be at home against Fareham Heathens at 3pm on Saturday at the Raymond Brown Memorial ground in Parsonage Barn Lane.
The club received more good news at the weekend when they learnt that, as a result of Bognor being promoted into London Division 3, they have avoided relegation and therefore retain their place in Hampshire Division 1.
