REDLYNCH & Woodfalls FC have secured promotion to the Bournemouth Hayward Premier League after an impressive top three finish in Division 1.

Manager Paul Glover and assistant Trevor England were appointed a year ago to try and help rebuild the club, develop the youth, and build a side capable of promotion.

Glover achieved his goals in his first full season in charge, and now Redlynch & Woodfalls FC are back among the elite sides of the Bournemouth FA Premier Division in the 2016/17 season.

Before they embark on their venture, Glover is hoping to attract new players.

Glover said: "It's a great family village club with generations of family and local people who have played here including my own family."

"I came here on a three-year project with my assistant Trevor England to try and develop and build on the talent already here.

"I have received brilliant backing and support from sponsors Wessex Care, and the clubs chairman, secretary and committee. I feel we are building a young and talented squad that will be successful for many years to come.

"I'm, of course, looking to sign a couple of new players and strengthen us giving us more depth, and we will work hard with the players in pre-season. The next step up is a big one for a village club against teams that are established and often pay their players expenses, but I'm up for the challenge ahead."

Jay Madden (RCFC) will look after the reserves next season.
