A SWIMMING club has launched a desperate plea to raise much-needed funds towards its crowdfunding campaign.
Salisbury Stingrays has raised 58 per cent of its £2,500 target for five electronic timing pads.
They will be used by the club, which is based at Fivers Leisure Centre, for swimming competitions and galas.
But if the full total isn't raised by Tuesday, December 6 - 14 days from now - the club won't get any of the money.
Fundraiser Rebecca Seymour said: "We desperately need five new electronic timepads.
"Several of our current eight pads have come to the end of their shelf life at the same time, which is a huge expense for the club all at once."
"We must have the correct digital timing equipment to run our licensed meets and Wiltshire county events at Five Rivers and can't run these events without them, which will effect hundreds of swimmers from the surrounding region."
