JOHN Hunter was delighted to get his name on the annual Club Championship trophy at Salisbury Snooker Club.
The 50-year-old cueman, from Andover, knocked in a 52 break to wrap up a 2-0 victory over Steve Ashton in the final.
Hunter, who earlier in the day chalked up runs of 67 and 45, pocketed £70 prize money. Ashton collected £30.
"It's nice to get my name on the trophy and I look forward to defending it next year," said the ten-time Cuestars South Wilts Snooker League champion.
"I would like to thank the club's owner Mike Trapnell for sponsoring the event."
In the semi-finals, Hunter beat Neil Herd (Frome) 2-0 after dropping just one frame, to Stuart Dreyer, in the group stages while Ashton overcame Gary Hart (Porton) 2-1.
It was a remarkable performance by Hart who recently underwent eye surgery.
