IMOGEN Yule from Godolphin School has recently won the top spot in the Senior Schools Individual Final at the Hurstpierpoint College National Schools and Pony Club Jumping Championships at Hickstead, on Thursday, August 3.
Imogen spoke about winning the event and said: “I have been waiting for years for this moment.
“I have been trying for six years consecutively to win this final and it has finally happened.”
The 18-year-old jumped a perfect three clear rounds on Blonde Ambition IV to clinch the long-awaited victory, and she described it as: “An amazing end to an incredible seven years riding for Godolphin.”
The Hickstead showground has been the venue for several World and European Showjumping Championships and hosts two major international shows each year, plus a national show known as the All England Jumping Championships
In addition to her individual placing, Imogen and her Godolphin team, who were Didi Price and Flora Castle, also took third in the team rankings, with a score of 37.94.
