BRAMSHAW took the scalp of Southern Leaguers Langley Manor in the National Village Cup, as they beat them by three wickets.

After winning the toss Langley batted first and an excellent bowling and fielding display from the Hampshire League home team resulted in them being bowled out for 201.

Bailey Loveless bowled an outstanding ball to remove the Langley captain with Kaush Patel picking up a couple of key wickets and Dave Streather bowling beautifully at the end for 3-22.

In reply Bramshaw were in trouble losing 3 quick wickets to the Langley openers before classy Zane D'Monte (48) and vexatious Joe Coombs (49) put together a crucial stand of 112 putting the home team in control.

Terry Harrison took the game away from Langley with a rapid 39 before a mini collapse made the game interesting.

Kaush Patel kept his nerve to see the team home by three wickets and into the next round, where they will face a visit from another Southern League side Liphook and Ripsley.
