SALISBURY FC suffered their first defeat of their pre-season, when they were beaten 1-0 by visiting Bognor Regis Town on Friday night.
Home goalie Charlie Searle did well to push Jimmy Muitt long range effort over the bar.
New signing George Barker then nearly gave the Whites the lead, but he was just unable to beat Dan Lincoln in the visitors goal.
Bognor then scored what turned out to the be the winner on 42 minutes from Calvin Davies.
The visitors had the first chance of the second half, but Tommy Scutt shot was cleared off the line.
The Whites so nearly equalised, but Sam Roberts' effort came back off the post.
Flavio Tavares then tested Lincoln one-on-one, as the home side were unable to force an equaliser.
This evening, Salisbury are away at Christchurch and then conclude their pre-season at home to a Bristol Rovers XI on Friday (7.45pm).
