THE Hills Group has given much needed support to Amesbury Ladies RFC, sponsoring their new strip.
Henry Newbery, recycling manager at Hills Waste Solutions, said: “We are proud to support the local communities in the areas where we operate and are excited to sponsor this newly formed Amesbury ladies’ rugby team. We will be watching their progress with interest over the season and look forward to attending some of their matches.”
In just under one year, Amesbury RFC has developed woman's rugby in the area, with over 28 registered players and playing their first season in Woman's NC South 2 League.
They're off to a good start, having won their first two league games and giving new, developing players opportunities.
Gemma Snell, Vice Captain and Marketing volunteer for Amesbury Ladies RFC, said: "It's such a boost to the team and club getting the level of support from The Hills Group. When we wore our shirts at the first league game against Dorwey, every player felt pride, we looked amazing! To have our own kit is so important to us, on behalf of all the players and the club, thank you."
Amesbury RFC welcome all new and experienced players, training Thursday evenings 6.30pm to 8pm at the Centenary Pavilion, Archers Way, Amesbury,.
