ELLINGHAM and Ringwood put in another impressive performance in Hampshire Division One to beat Southampton 67-18 and secure an important away win bonus point.

Ellingham used the opportunity to give a 1st XV debut to their 17 year old colt Louis Harling and he repaid this decision with a hat-trick in the first 20 minutes.

He went on to score a further try to record four tries on his debut.

Will Jenkins came off the bench to score a second half hat-trick, with the other tries coming from scrum half Henry Benson, centres Josh Butcher and Matt Raybould and full back Dominic Pitt. Butcher also kicked six conversions.

The victory kept the pressure on the leaders and third placed Ellingham take on Andover seconds, who are ninth in the table

Ellingham and Ringwood’s second XV enjoyed a good win in Dorset and Wiltshire Division 2 and secured an important winning bonus point as they beat Oakmeadians seconds 39-5.

Number 8 Sam Linford and prop forward Will Trim both scored two tries with the others coming from prop forward Jack Ellis, wing three quarter Josh Rowntree and scrum half Lee Swyer. Andrew Lorton and Lee Swyer also kicked conversions.
