LUKE Greenway celebrated receiving his player of the month award for October from chairman Gino Nardiello and Club treasurer Robbie Trim, by scoring a brace in Amesbury's 4-0 home win over Totton and Eling.
The double scorer picked up a bottle of champagne sponsored by Amesbury's The Bank Cocktail and lounge bar.
The victory kept the Blues two points clear at the top of the Wessex League Division One from Hythe and Dibden.
Amesbury took just two minutes to take the lead thanks to a stunning strike from Archie Johnson.
Just five minutes later, Greenway opened his account for the game and it seemed that the Blues would have a comfortable day at Bonnymead.
Credit must go to a young Totton side who responded with some great football of their own but the Blues were just to strong all round.
Jamie Ritchie added the third goal after another set play involving Jack Vallis to make it 3-0 at the interval.
After the break, Greenway added Amesbury's fourth and his second of the contest to ensure another good win.
The Blues defence of Connor Palmer, Vallis, Michael Owen and Johnson were solid throughout and added their fourth clean sheet in a row in the league.
Amesbury will look to continue at the summit this Saturday and face a long trip to the Isle of Wight to face Newport.
Last season the Blues won there 4-2.
