TEN man Bemerton produced a superb comeback as they came from 3-0 down to earn a vital point against Horndean in their Wessex League Premier Division relegation fight.

Visiting Horndean second in table looked to be heading to league win number 18, as they led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Benny Read and Sean McMonagle.

It got even worst for Bemmy after the break as Read netted a third for the visitors.

On 49 minutes, Jack Burgess gave the home side so hope as he pulled it back to 3-1.

Six minutes later, the Bemmy's hopes looked to have vanished, as Jack Slade was dismissed after a challenge on visiting goalkeeper Ross Casey.

However, this proved not to be the case as the home side scored twice in the final 10 minutes.

Sub Gerson Ramos got the first and then Scott Hassell completed the amazing comeback with the equalising goal three minutes from time.

The result leaves Bemmy one point above the drop zone, but they do have three games in hand on Cowes Sports and two on Andover New Street who occupy the bottom two places.

This Saturday, Bemmy are away at Baffins Milton Rovers and on Monday night they are on their travels again to Team Solent.
