A FINE century from Jamie Harvey saw Winterbourne to a 200 run victory against Over Wallop on a beautiful day, writes RYAN HUGHES.
Batting first, Winterbourne piled on the runs as openers Jamie Harvey and Matt Windows put on a century stand for the first wicket.
Windows hit his second consecutive half century, falling for 58, while Harvey powered on to his first century of the season, eventually falling for a superb 110.
He was well supported by Matt Shellum with 42 not and out and a good 30 from Richard Pearce as Winterbourne hit 271-4 from their 40 overs.
In reply, opening bowlers Pearce and Zac Smith destroyed the Over Wallop top order to leave them reeling on 23-5. Pearce took 3-17 and Smith 2-7 with some superb seam and swing bowling.
Ryan Hughes followed this up with 3-14 and Chris Breeze 2-13 as Over Wallop were bowled out for just 71. Wicketkeeper Dan Marsh took five catches behind the stumps.
Winterbourne look to keep up their winning run in a big local derby against Laverstock and Ford next Saturday.
