TWO Winterbourne centuries saw them to a huge 253 run victory over Paultons III.

The home team got off to an excellent start, thanks to 59 from Jamie Harvey, but when he was bowled, Sam Parker joined Matt Windows and the pair put on a 168 run stand for the second wicket.

Both players brought up their hundreds, although Parker was dismissed shortly afterwards for 104.

Some late hitting from James Ward (26 not out) helped take the score to a whopping 340-3 after 40 overs. Windows was unbeaten on 131.

An excellent start by the 'Bourne opening bowlers saw the first maiden overs of the match bowled five of them in fact, in a row.

Rich Pearce bowled Clarke with his second delivery and Zac Smith then had Hamid trapped LBW with an in-swinging yorker.

Chris Breeze, bowling first change, bowled four straight maidens and picked up the wicket of Phillips.

Jack Brown accounted for Cummings for five in his second over and Breeze completed his spell with a second wicket to finish with figures of 2-13.

Sam Parker took a wicket with his first ball, as skipper Collingwood chipped a catch back to the bowler after a few lusty blows which brought him 14 runs.

Smith was then brought back into the attack to finish the innings off, and he bowled Cummings in his second over to dismiss Paultons for 87 in 26 overs.
