SALISBURY Rugby Club held their third Annual Walking Rugby Festival, hosting sides from as far as South Wales, Devon, South West and London.
Festival Organiser Pete King said :" The club was delighted to be holding the largest Walking Rugby Festival seen in the South West to date.
In all 11 sides competed for the Pat Clash Trophy and the Originals Plate.
Pat Clash started walking rugby in Salisbury in 2017 and was present to award the Trophy to the winners Cardiff Barbarians.
The plate competition was won by Topsham narrowly beating Salisbury Zimmers who had the same number of wins but missing out on try score count back. .
Walking Rugby is a non impact version of rugby designed for more mature people, both women and men, and those recovering from injury.
Experience of playing rugby is not necessary and anyone interested in joining can find details salisburyrfc.org or just turn up at Rugby Club at 6pm on Thursday evenings or Five Rivers Leisure Centre at 11am on Tuesdays.
