FARLEY beat Dinton by nine wickets to reach the HK Robinson Salisbury district Wednesday League Cup final for the first time in their history.

Winning the toss Farley skipper Manny Gurung decided to bowl first and the decision was spot on for them.Dinton made 110-7 wickets in 20 overs.

Dinton opening batman Andy O'Neill scored a handy 50 in just 39 balls before he got retired and this including 24 runs in one over.

Sam Waters led the bowling attack with four wickets, with Jake Hand and Manny Gurung taking one each.

Chasing 111 runs in 20 overs, Farley openers Ramesh Gurung and Prakash Gurung smoked it with their big shots and drives before Ramesh Gurung got retired with his wonderful half century which came in just 42 balls.

The opening partnership was 76 runs and than Sumith Surendran was cheaply out in one after that skipper Manny Gurung 19 not out and Prakash Gurung 34 not out took Farley home winning by nine wickets with 5.2 overs to spare.

In the other semi-final Winterbourne was beaten by South Wilts by 5 wickets.

The final will be played on Wednesday, July 31 at South Wilts from 6pm.
