FARLEY'S seven-wicket win at Hyde was not enough to retain pole position in County Division Four West.
Because they only claimed 23 points, Farley slipped 0.05 points behind Bournemouth III, who visit Coronation Field this Saturday for a top of the table clash.
Farley's victory was once again built on the back of a fine bowling performance.
Marc Burton claimed two early scalps, before Hyde captain Chris Shutler consolidated alongside Will Hayward.
The pair added 51 before Geoff Ramsey disturbed Shutler's timbers for a well-made 62.
Ramsey then hit the stumps twice more, on his way to 4-9 figures matched by the returning Burton, as Hyde were all for 125.
With the Hyde attack shorn of a couple of key bowlers, the chase was relatively untroubled, concluding in 26 overs. Every batsman got into double figures, but three were dismissed - the third wicket proving crucial to Farley's points tally.
Farley's second team had a frustrating week after a very late call from OTs and Romsey IV, who were unable to field a side. They travel to Dinton next week.
