BEMERTON Heath Harlequins start their quest for FA Cup glory on Saturday when they entertain Wessex League Division One rivals. Andover New Street, writes DAVID HEATHER.
If last Saturday proved a stroll in the park with a 8-1 the Harlequins may have thought the league would be a cakewalk, but they were brought down
to earth with a bang on Tuesday night, as they lost 3-0 to visiting Hythe and Dibden, who maintained their perfect start to the season.
Over confidence, a lack of pace, horrendous mistakes contributed to this loss.
The absence to injury to key midfielders skipper Kane O'Keefe and Jake Burgess did not help their cause.
They were 1-0 down at half-time they had been pressing the game until an error cost them .
Hythe just missed promotion last term and will be up there again this year cruised to a victory after that.
Harlequins did have their chances but were unable to convert
Justin Bennett, Danny Finnegan and Adam Pearson all missed reasonable chances.
