RIVERSIDE Tennis Club is holding its annual tournament on Sunday, September 1 starting at 9.30am at Fisherton Farm Allotments, off Kingsland Road in Salisbury.
Throughout the summer members have been playing to qualify to take part on finals day.
As well as a variety of adult competitions there will be junior matches with age groups ranging from girls and boys from eight to under-18, so there will be plenty of courts for spectators to watch during the day.
There will also be refreshments and a barbecue run by the members.
Riverside is a friendly, family orientated club with professional coaches and a variety of membership options available to suit all standards.
The club is also expanding this autumn, building two additional hard courts to the existing six, three of which are being resurfaced with artificial grass.
Tennis is seen as an elitist sport but Riverside has always rejected that label as it is a community club that welcomes everybody.
