LAVERSTOCK and Ford have been on the wrong end of two five goal thriller in the space of four days.
On Tuesday night, they were just edged out at Wessex League Premier Division leaders Alresford 3-2 in the League Cup and then lost by the same scoreline at home to US Portsmouth.
In the cup tie, Lavvy led 2-1 at the break as Seb Dawes and Archie Lovegrove were on target, but the Hampshire hit back to win the second round game.
Last Saturday, visiting US Portsmouth were 2-0 up at the break, but a resurgent second half saw us get back on level terms through Adam Bourner penalty and Tommy Campbell Smith equalising within seven minutes of the restart.
They then had an effort cleared off the line and hit the bar, but the visitors grabbed the winner 13 minutes from time.
This Saturday, Lavvy start their FA Vase quest with a trip to Pewsey Vale.
