SALISBURY Rugby Club made a bit of club history on Saturday, as for the first time one of their previous club mascots made his first XI debut.

In the 2007-8 season the club started to have mascots for the 1st XV's home games - a player from the under-7s would lead the team out onto the pitch.

One of those mascots was Jordan Jones. On Saturday Jordan ran down with the team, and came off the bench to play in the scrum and be the first former mascot to represent the 1st XV.

In the photo from 2007/8 Jordan looked quite shy, but he must have done a good job as mascot because Salisbury won 25-0 on that day.
