LAVERSTOCK and Ford lost 1-0 to visitors Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

The only goal was unfortunate for the home side as a good save from Tom Roberts bounced in off Lewis Barr which he could do nothing about.

Three minutes later Lewis Wakeford looked looked to have levelled it.

It looked incredibly tight and the linesman confirmed it was tight, but felt it was the right call.

After the break, Lavvy's Archie Lovegrove hit the bar from the angle and Paddy Creese made two great saves for Bemerton.

Then with two minutes left, Russ Jones was floored in the box, which looked like a stonewall penalty but again play was waved away.

Laverstock manager Liam McConnell said: "Overall I’m disappointed our performance merited at least a point. we stood up to the test but an own goal proved the difference in front of 210 in attendance. credit to Harlequins for holding on to their lead."

Lavvy are at home to Whitchurch on Saturday.
