BEMERTON Heath Harlequins kept themselves in the promotion hunt from Wessex League Division One with another couple of wins.

Last Saturday, Bemmy beat visiting Ringwood 5-2 and then on Tuesday night, they won at home 2-1 over Fawley.

Against Ringwood, Harlequins got off to a great start as James Thomson scored in the sixth minute, but the visitors levelled things.

Early in the second-half Connor Thorne thought he had scored early on in the second half, but was adjudged to have been offside.

Scott Hassell headed the home side in front, but Ringwood equalised a few minutes later.

However, Bemmy were not to be denied as Thomson scored his second of the day followed by Thorne and Kane O’Keefe to complete the win.

On Tuesday night against Fawley, Hassell and O’Keefe were on target again in their latest win which leaves the side sixth in the table four points outside the promotion places and six back from leaders US Portsmouth.

This Saturday, Bemmy are away at Petersfield and then away to promotion rivals Andover New Street.
