SEVERAL football games have had to be called off today due to waterlogged pitches, as heavy rain continues to fall.

Amesbury had been due to host Baffins Milton Rovers at Bonnymead Park, in a Wessex Premier League fixture, but this game was postponed before midday.

The Blues travel to Brockenhurst next Saturday afternoon.

Bemerton Heath Harlequins had been due to travel to Ringwood in a Division One game, but this game was called off after a 12pm pitch inspection due to "current and worsening conditions".

Bemmy host Hamworthy United on Tuesday night in the Wessex League Cup, while Ringwood play Infinity next Saturday.

The Salisbury FC Development side had been scheduled to travel to Swindon to take on Stratton Juniors in the Wiltshire League, but fell victim to the heavy downpours over the last few hours.

Downton were supposed to host Totton & Eling, but that game is also off. The Robins will return to action against Andover New Street on Tuesday night in the Wessex League Cup.

As things stand, Laverstock and Ford's game against Verwood is still on, as is Shrewton United's trip to Marlborough.

Salisbury FC's men's first XI did not have a game today.
