SOUTH Wilts teenage left-arm pace bowler Josh Croom took three for 20 in his latest South Australia West End Grade match for Glenelg - but his chances of a win bonus for his adopted Adelaide club were dashed by rain.

The 18-year old struck twice with the new ball to have winless opponents Prospect wobbling at 23 for two and later took a third wicket to leave the opposition 99 for eight, when the unseasonal weather intervened.

Play was abandoned after 34 overs, with Glenelg unable to start their innings.

Bowling second change, Croom took two for 46 in the previous week's 22-run defeat by West Torrens.

Glenelg lie sixth in the log, 20 points outside the play-off places.
