SOUTH Wilts left-arm quick Josh Croom had to be content with a runners-up medal after his adopted Adelaide club Glenelg lost by 17 runs to West Torrens in the South Australia CA 50-Cup final.

Croom took 1-29 off seven overs while West Torrens made 232-9 - a target Glenelg threatened while Jake Winter (who played for South Wilts in 2016) was at the crease.

Winter, who captains Glenelg, made 105 of his team's 215 all out.

Croom, meanwhile, has taken 25 wickets in Adelaide this winter, 17 in the First Grade competition and eight in limited over matches.

South Wilts begin pre-season training at Bishop Wordsworth College on Sunday, 2pm, when prospective new players at all levels will be welcome.
